Literature Reviews Findings -

1)Comfort And Ergonomics Evaluation Of a Checkout Workstation:

  • The cameras with the CaMAN software used helped the decrease in the musculoskeletal diseases' growth.

  • DARTFISH simulation wholly integrated into the CaMAN (mathematical software) was used to investigate also, rate the global comfort index and understand the best comfort position.

  • This advantage can also be seen as a method to increase productivity and improve the psychophysical aspect, as the operator needs to pay less attention and concentration (less stress).

2) Ergonomics posture and movement analyses of supermarket checkout operators in the city of Cataguases, MG.

  • 90% of cashiers were taking sick. The reason is due to MSD (Musculoskeletal disorders )

  • Pain during working hours - 73.33% only 40.00% said that they go to the doctor and make 13.33% use of drugs,

  • Hence suggested taking a break in between and having a good stretching session.

  • The research found that most cashiers had pain in their trunks, neck, and lower coast.

  • The chairs should be adjustable to the worker's height and the nature of the task. There must be a backrest for lumbar support, padding of the appropriate density, and enough space to allow work standing and sitting alternations.
